At its annual convention, the Congress of California Seniors elected officers for 2018-2019. Long-time chief advocate Gary Passmore was elected president by acclamation.
The convention elected Passmore and these other officers to two-year terms. The Vice Presidents North are Joseph A. Rao and Carol Sewell. The Vice Presidents South are Alicia Flores and Carolyn Tate. The Secretary is Marcy Sherbok. The Treasurer is Sylvia Jimenez. The Trustees are Sharon Hillbrant, Mariam Stout, and Leah Lacayo. Board members at-large are Kristina Bas Hamilton, Edie Brown, Crista Chelemedos, Susana Covarrubias, Ron Duva, Bob Jimenez, Carl Joaquin, Ernie Powell, Raul Razo, Paula Weiss, and Lewis Wright.
The focus of the convention, held at Sacramento's downtown Holiday Inn, was "Advocating for the Long Term."
